While some online betting sites have closed futures wagering on AL MVP because of the season Aaron Judge has been putting together, they may have jumped the gun - or a shark - as Seattle's Cal Raleigh is having a sensational season.

In the Mariners' 8-0 win over Boston Tuesday, Raleigh mashed his major league leading 27th home run - a grand slam - in the second inning, doubled in two more runs in the 4th, then stole third base and scored on a sac fly. His six RBI matched Judge for the AL lead with 60.

While Raleigh is batting just .266, his power numbers are on a par with Judge's, whose batting average has dropped more than 20 points in recent days. Judge is still leading the league at .372.

Seattle's win snapped Boston's six-game winning streak and left them 4 1/2 behind the Astros in the LA West. Boston is in fourth place in the AL East, 5 1/2 out. The series concludes Wednesday in Seattle.

AL Streaks: Angels, won 2; White Sox, lost 2.

AL Streaks: Blue Jays, won 4; Athletics, lost 5.

National League

When Max Muncy singled in a run in the first inning for a 2-0 lead, it was just the beginning of the onslaught he and his fellow Dodgers would inflict upon the visiting Yankees in an 18-2 trouncing by Los Angeles.

The Dodgers banged out 21 hits against a parade of eight Yankee pitchers, including a pair of three-run homers by Muncy, his fifth and sixth of the season and 200th and 201st of his career and three other Dodgers would homer in the game. Muncy finished 3-for-6, scored three times and drove in seven.

Aaron Judge did his part for the visitors, homering twice, but it was not nearly enough to counter the offensive outburst by the Dodgers, who have taken the first two games of the re-match between last season's World Series foes with the finale set for Sunday night.

Both teams lead their respective divisions, the Yankees up 5 1/2 on the Blue Jays and Rays, while the Dodgers hold a three-game edge of San Diego and are four up on the Giants.

NL Streaks: Brewers, won 6; Rockies, lost 7.
