The following article contains a good deal of conjecture, speculation, and satire. Mostly, it is derived from the opinions and imagination of Fearless Rick Gagliano, founder and publisher of IdleGuy.com. Some of it may eventually be borne out by facts.
In his opening remarks on Tuesday 20 January, Fink offered a stark message: the rapid growth and adoption of AI risks damaging the future prospects of the world’s working classes, and having a lasting impact on prosperity. Nice start Larry, considering your firm has its boot up the ass of Google, Meta, Amazon, and Open AI all the way to the thigh. Nothing in Larry Fink’s wet dreams about civilization would suit him better than to witness robots taking over the jobs of billions of people worldwide, reducing the middle and lower classes to slave standards.
Bessent is highly-regarded as a major influencer of George Soros’ taking down the British economy and the pound sterling in 1992. Why he’s the U.S. Treasury Secretary is becoming more and more self-evident.
Most accounts of the latest WEF conference concerned themselves with stories of how President Trump dealt with the leaders of EU countries like a mob boss, smacking them down with threats of additional tariffs if they didn’t sell him Greenland.
As usual, Trump’s boasting was more bark than bite. His assertions that Russia and China seek control of Greenland are pure fiction. Trump’s idea to build a “golden dome” of anti-missile defense is another canard and would be a complete waste of money. U.S. defenses are unable to shoot down Russia’s Oreshniks and other ICBMs. Extracting rare earth minerals or oil from the massive slab of ice that is Greenland is another fool’s errand. If there were vast resources underneath the mile-thick permanent ice slab, they’d already be exploited.
“Buying” Greenland for $700 billion or whatever price Trump put on it was another false flag. The U.S. is $38 trillion in debt. Paying off Denmark, the Greenlanders, and other Nordic countries with U.S. dollars elicited howls of laughter from world leaders.
The reality of what actually went down in Davos is far afield from what’s been reported by Western media. Rather than the U.S. showing great leadership or mob boss skills, the rest of the world was snickering being their backs. The U.S. is rapidly becoming a worldwide pariah, the value of the U.S. dollar declining (thank you, Secretary Bessent), and countries within the EU and NATO bloc have since begun negotiating trade deals themselves, outside the U.S. sphere of influence.
If anything, Trump and his entourage of thugs-in-nice-suits accomplished what many thought was unthinkable. By dictating terms to their “partners”, they’ve alienated themselves almost completely from the West and the East at the very same time. Now, instead of having Russia, China, India, and the BRICS breaking down dollar dominance, Europe, Canada, and South America have joined in the anti-U.S. party.
The best outcome that has not been mentioned anywhere is that Trump’s brash treatment of his European buddies at the WEF has resulted in the end of the war in Ukraine. Most of the countries invested in that particular morass can clearly apprehend that the U.S. is not a reliable partner anywhere, and Europe is not about to continue financing the exploits of Zelensky and his horde of thieves. There was no talk - other than Zelensky himself lambasting Europe and the U.S. - of Ukraine at all at the WEF, and for good reason: it’s over.
The U.S. is essentially out, having shifted their focus to the next boondoggle, the Middle East and Iran, at the behest of Israel. They have no further interest in Ukraine, their goals: killing off most of Ukraine’s adult males and funneling cash to the elite in the U.S. congress, have ben accomplished. Destroying Russia and forcing Vladimir Putin from power, not so much. In any case, the U.S. has moved on, and, with them, so too Europe.
What was overwhelingly revealing about Davos is who wasn't there. Not a single important representative from China, Russia, India, or Brazil were in attendance, making the conference very much an ANTI-BRICS gathering. Too bad it didn't work out that way. Just because of how world politics works, the BRICS nations don't extend invitations to european countries or the U.S., so, nothing new here.
The following are statements made by a variety of people at the WEF. The actual quotes are in BOLD. IdleGuy’s political translations are in italics.
“You should not be dependent for that which is fundamental to your sovereignty on any other nation.” - Howard Lutnick
Translation: Europe, we own you. We blew up the Nord Stream pipeline so you would suffer and have to buy LNG from the U.S.A. F—k you. More tariffs are coming. We own you.
“The old order is not coming back. We should not mourn it. Nostalgia is not a strategy. But from the fracture, we can build something better, stronger, and more just.” - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney
Translation: I am doing deals with China and India because I’m tired of taking it from behind by Trump and his tariffs and getting slapped instead of kissed.
“This new world of great powers is being built on power, on strength, and when it comes to it, on force.” German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said. “It’s not a cozy place.”
Translation: Germany is now dead because we went along with everything our U.S. masters wanted. You, the people of Germany, are screwed. I, on the other hand, and the rest of the elite class, will never suffer. Deal with the new reality that is worse than the old reality.
“The single market was once created to form the most competitive economic area in the world, but instead, we have become the world champion of overregulation,” Merz added. “That has to end.”
Translation: Pay up, shut up, and die. Western governments never cared about the “little people” in the first place. You’re all so gullible and easily controlled.
“The USA is the economic engine on the planet. And when America booms, the entire world booms,” — Donald Trump
Translation: America is intent on securing its own bleak, fascist future by dismantling the old world order. If that means screwing the rest of the countries in the world, so be it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
“We want strong allies, not seriously weakened ones,” Trump added. “We want Europe to be strong.”
Translation: We walk all over everybody, but especially our supposed allies. Like Henry Kissinger said, “it may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.” And remember, America’s sweetheart, Victoria Nuland’s famous, “F—k the EU” message at Maidan in 2014. Any questions?
After all the fun at WEF 2026, next year's event ought to be a real hoot.
