Resolutions and Predictions
Well, it's a fool's game to make predictions. Even if you're right half of the time, your critics will point to the other half of the ledger and contend that you don't know anything.
I'll take my chances with a few, but I'm leaving resolutions to the suggestion box of some recognizable figures.
Predictions: (check back here in December)
OK, that's enough. Now, for those resolutions - in Mad magazine "we'd like to see" style: Please, Donald Trump, stop naming everything after yourself. It's childish and annoying, besides being ingratiating. The Kennedy Center was just fine until you renamed it the Trump-Kennedy Center. In case you need reminding, Kennedy did not survive his assassination attempt. You did, which puts you in different, separate, lower class. Also, how many Trump-class battleships are the Navy building? Two? 10? China will build 50 over the same period, probably six to eight years before they're commissioned. And that $1 million Trump Gold Card that buys immigration to the United States? Tacky. Very, very tacky, even for you. For Vladimir Putin, please end the conflict in Ukraine by taking the entire country militarily and resolve to do it this year. While Americans are split over the Ukraine issue, most of the intelligent ones think the entire project, from the U.S. and Europe position, needs to be scrapped. Obviously, they want to continue it. President Putin, resolve to finish the job in Ukraine this year. Sports Announcers: Kindly resolve to refrain from using words you don't understand or can't correctly pronounce, and even some that you might, especially, "plethora." The majority of sports fans don't care if your vocabulary is 500 or 5,000 words, as long as you understand the game. Vince Lanci and Tom Luongo: Just STFU. You two are the biggest loudmouth know-nothings on the internet and it's getting kinda boring. From Lanci's "frameworks" and "fulcrums" and his boorish use of "we" in his editorials (who are "we", are they two fo you? do you have clones?) to Luongo's addiction to his Trump vs. the British crown theory among other crackpot concepts your commentaries run the gamut from misinformation to delusion. Actually, I just like ribbing you guys because you both take yourselves so seriously. Get over yourselves. Mainstream Media: Try telling the truth for a change. It's refreshing. U.S. Congress: Dissolve. If just a few of these resolutions are committed to in 2026, the world would be a much better place. Can I get an "AMEN" on that?
IdleGuy.com 2025 Person of the Year
With plenty of older contestants for the idleguy.com annual honor, some of them upwards of 70 years old, it was 27-year-old Nick Fuentes who captured the crown in 2025. Fuentes, founder and host of the America First podcast, blew away the competition with his combination of righteous indignation, anti-establishment leanings, and scathing criticism of politicians, influencers, and celebrities across the political spectrum. Anybody bold enough to take on the likes of Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Piers Morgan, J.D. Vance, Chuck Schumer, Ben Shapiro, Tommy Robinson, Roseanne Barr, Erika Kirk, Mark Levin, Bill O’Reilly, among countless others - and win, gets the IdleGuy.com vote of confidence. Fuentes infuriates politicians, tears down taboos, and lambasts the mainstream and alternative media endlessly. His bona fides are legendary. From leading Groyper wars to setting up the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC), Fuentes sticks to his guns, firing shots at opponents from the left, right, and sometimes attacks from the middle. Wikipedia notes that Fuentes has been banned from numerous social media platforms, financial services, and e-commerce providers since 2020, with most actions attributed to violations of policies on hate speech and related content. In January 2020, Fuentes was the most-viewed live streamer on the DLive platform. Following the January 6 United States Capitol attack, his DLive channel was permanently suspended. Fuentes's YouTube channel was also demonetized, and at least one of his videos was removed by YouTube as a violation of their hate speech policies. Fuentes had previously been banned from Twitch and from Reddit. On February 14, 2020, his YouTube channel was terminated for violating policies on hate speech. Twitter (now X) was among the last mainstream social media sites to ban Fuentes, indefinitely suspending his verified account in July 2021. He has also been banned from financial and e-commerce services, including PayPal, Venmo, Patreon, Shopify, Stripe, Streamlabs, and Coinbase, yet he marches on, undeterred. According to ABC News in March 2021, Fuentes had been suspended from "almost all" social media platforms. Fuentes claimed that his bank account had been frozen, that he had been placed on a federal no-fly list, and that he had been banned from Airbnb, Facebook, and Instagram. Fuentes described these actions as "overt political persecution". In 2023, Fuentes’ verified Twitter account was briefly reinstated, though Twitter banned him again the next day for supposed violations. In May 2024, following an announcement by Elon Musk, Fuentes's X (formerly Twitter) account was reinstated. Musk stated, "I cannot claim to be a defender of free speech, but then permanently ban someone who hasn't violated the law, no matter how much I disagree with what they say." Since his return to X, Fuentes has grown his follower base to over 1.2 million. After Fuentes's bans from DLive and YouTube, America First moved to streaming on Rumble with approximately 500,000 viewers on a regular basis. YouTube in September 2025 after the platform announced it would be offering the reinstatement of all channels banned from the site due to political speech violations. However, YouTube again banned both Fuentes and Jones hours after creating new channels. Nick Fuentes is the IdleGuy.com Person of the Year. His podcast can be seen on Rumble at rumble.com/nickjfuentes Monday through Friday at 8:00 pm ET. We salute those who tried and failed: the 2025 nominees for IdleGuy.com Person of the Year included: Ursula von der Leyen, Xi Jinping, Donald J. Trump, Syndney Sweeney, Vladimir Putin, Elon Musk, Zohran Mamdani, Jensen Huang, and Narendra Modi. |
