IdleGuy.com July 2025 | Volume 2, #7

1. Cover - America turns 249 on July 4, and our cover represents the wholesome, good nature of the American people. At least that's what we've been told.

2. From the Publisher's Desk - In the spirit of Independence, Fearless Rick explores individualism and self-reliance and how those virtues are applied in the past, the present, and, possibly in the future.

3. Contents /Credits - In case you haven't noticed, this is where you are.

4. Calendar - More events, including Wimbledon, the Open Championship, BRICS Summit in Brasil, a big trading card convention and much more.

5. State of the World - How free are Americans, really? This is the question that was posed to bing's AI co-pilot. Some of the responses were less than expected, and with a definite globalist lean, so humans were consulted. The results, especially those concerning taxes, are downright amazing.

6. Feature - idleguy.com and dtmagazine.com continue the HOT SUMMER SALE that began in June, now extended for July, probably August, and maybe forever. 5000+ magazines with deals galore. Check the page for the 10% discount code.

7. Sports - Featured coverage this month begins with tennis at Wimbledon, continues back in the states with the MLB All-Star Game, and concludes with golf's Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

7a. Sports Extra - Daily - and by that we do mean every day (except during the All-Star break) MLB Players of the Day from the American and National Leagues.

8. Money - Ladies and Gentlemen, Choose Your Currency. This article has no end. While the United States and Europe will insist on pushing CBDCs to back their fiat, China is paving the Belt and Road with gold. Choosing the right currency will have consequences for people, businesses, countries and even entire continents.

9. Food & Drink - What do Americans eat on the 4th of July. What exactly is a Red, White, and Blue Fruit Pizza (afraid to ask), and salmon jerky is something that Alaskans enjoy along with 18 hours of sunlight.

10. Books - A treat for independent thinkers as the idleguy.com Library expands again with John Stuart Mill's "On Liberty", Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Self-Reliance", and Ayn Rand's essential, "Atlas Shrugged." Free downloads.

11. Public Domain / Toast of the Town - What could be more in the public domain than the original American Declaration of Independence. Read it and find out just how much Jefferson, Washington, Franklin and the rest of the Founding Fathers disliked England's King George. They wouldn't even call him by name. Imagine that.

12. Back Page - What's in store for the August issue is no surprise to regular readers of idleguy.com. The annual pro and college football previews are being readied along with more juicy articles and entertainment.

Daily Idler - The essential portal for everything guys - and gals - need. Beer. Money. Games. A Daily Quiz and much more.

Home - Access every issue of idleguy.com at the home page. Totally free, which is the way things should be.
