March, 2025 | Volume 2, #3

1. Cover - This month's cover was is actually a reprint of most of the March 1926 cover of Ideal Home magazine. It should be in the public domain, being nearly 100 years old. The caption for Ideal Home was "A MONTHLY MAGAZINE FOR HOME-LOVERS." Hyphenation was apparently a big thing during the roaring 20s. The stately structure reminds us all that home is the place of comfort, joy, family, a place we can feel at peace and let idle minds wander.

2. From the Publisher's Desk - Thoughts on Spring and a few songs by Astrud Gilberto.

3. Contents /Credits - Well, here you are again.

4. Calendar - March Madness begins with conference tournaments, many of them detailed on the monthly Calendar.

5. State of the World - Focus on Europe and its drive to survive economic, political, and social upheaval.

6. Feature - idleguy.com's annual baseball preview commences here with the American League. Can the Yankees repeat and maybe not drop the ball? Detroit looks to make the Central division a real race while the West is a wide-open affair.

7. Sports - The National League is previewed, detailing trades, upgrades and updates on all 15 teams.

7a. Sports Extra - March is all about the mayhem of college hoops and the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Timely updates, players of the day, and idleguy.com's exclusive conference scoreboard. Complete schedule of conference tournaments.

8. Money - Why diversifying into various asset classes may be the key to surviving financial upheaval and potentially thriving through it all.

9. Food & Drink - Solid and liquid fuel for the annual trek into the void of Spring Break. Complete with pictures, for the bleary-eyed.

10. Books - Downloadable books [PDF] dealing with baseball are added to the IdleGuy.com Library.

11. Public Domain / Toast of the Town - Mark Twain's lamentable visit to the local barbershop and snarky commentary from across the internet.

12. Back Page - Introducing IdleGuy.com Insiders. Fun, fabulous, and FREE!
